This isn’t about tokenism, quotas, or box-ticking. Our starting point is simple: diversity is a good thing. It’s a source of strength. It’s something organizations should be prepared to fight for. The statistics speak for themselves. In 2022, 56% of the appointments we worked on were female and 31% were from a BAME (Black, Asian or Minority Etnic) background.

By drawing on the widest possible range of experiences and talents, diverse organizations are able to make better decisions, and typically have fewer strategic blind-spots. That makes diverse organizations ultimately more stable and more successful. At Society we are committed to helping you build a diverse, talented workforce.

How can we help you?

Inclusive Recruitment Toolkit

You can view a copy of this free resource at the bottom of the page. Are you looking to design an open, inclusive recruitment approach but unsure where to start? Are you interested in expanding your horizons around inclusive recruiting? Our Toolkit is a succinct and accessible collection of practical ways to advance DEI in the area of talent acquisition.

Search Consultancy

As your search partner, we will invest time in understanding the role you are recruiting for as well as your wider organizational context and DEI footprint. We can then design a search and selection process that both demonstrates your DEI commitment and assesses candidate fluency around this agenda.

We lean into data to improve diversity awareness and outcomes for you. All of our clients receive a written report showing the aggregate profile of the candidates who applied in relation to ten characteristics ranging from age and religion to ethnicity and sexual orientation. This information is collected anonymously through our bespoke, compliant monitoring questionnaire and will allow you to reflect on where your opportunities draw interest from in the market. We also track gender and ethnicity statistics across all of our searches. In 2021, 57% of our appointments were female, and 31% were from a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic background (although we appreciate how reductive the term ‘BAME’ is).

Thought Leadership

We proactively collaborate with others who are committed to building diverse workforces and seek to be a vocal and engaged ally in important discussions around movements such as Black Lives Matter. Have a browse of some of our podcasts and webinars.
