Usma transitioned to Society in 2022, following a distinguished 20-year career in the Not-for-Profit sector. She then ventured into global executive search and also gained valuable experience in the Independent schools sector.
In her role as a Consultant and Principal Researcher, Usma has played a pivotal role in facilitating executive and board appointments for social business and non-profit organisations. Notable among her achievements are her leadership in board appointments for organisations such as Alzheimer’s Society, Coin Street, Q at the Health Foundation, and Bede House.
Usma's professional ethos revolves around delivering personalised search solutions. Her preference for working within a boutique search firm, which also holds certification as a B Corporation, resonates deeply with her core values.
Educated in Social Policy at Loughborough University, Usma extends her expertise beyond the professional realm. She serves as a dedicated school Governor, focusing on safeguarding initiatives, and holds the position of Trustee at Society Foundation.
