Jomar Mercado

Jomar is a Senior Researcher at Society’s US office, having joined the company in 2021. Before working in executive search, Jomar worked in the PR and communications field, working with clients in the nonprofit, education and government space mostly.

As Senior Researcher, Jomar works as a generalist working across sectors such as nonprofits, hospitality and leisure, higher education, and schools. He has worked in senior appointments for organizations such as Doctors Without Borders, Christel House International, Heifer International and Heifer Foundation, Aman New York, GLAAD, RMIT Vietnam, among other organizations in the United States and globally. Some roles that Jomar has worked on as researcher include Global Controller, Vice President of Finance and Investments, Chief Talent and DEI Officer, Senior Director of Sales and Development, among other senior positions from diverse fields.

Jomar’s focus on recruitment is to provide his clients with a diverse pool of candidates that align with their organizational needs. He works closely with both candidates and clients to ensure both parts are having a seamless recruitment process that will result in a successful appointment. 

Jomar studied PR and Advertising at the University of Puerto Rico prior to moving to New York City. In 2021 he graduated from a Masters in Corporate Communication from the Open University of Catalonia.
