Glenstone Museum appoints new Director of Visitor Services
Danielle Newton has been appointed as Glenstone Museum’s new Director of Visitor Services.
Founded with the mission to seamlessly integrate art, architecture, and landscape, Glenstone is an art museum located on over 300 acres of rolling hills and unspoiled woodland.
The museum, opened in 2006 and expanded in 2018, offers nearly 60,000 square feet of exhibition space to showcase its collection of more than 1300 works by 200 contemporary artists. With its expansion, Glenstone now has the ability to welcome over 100,000 visitors each year, and admission is always free.
Guided by the personal vision of its founders, Glenstone assembles post-World War II artworks of the highest quality that trace the greatest historical shifts in the way we experience and understand art of the 20th and 21st centuries. These works are presented in a series of refined indoor and outdoor spaces designed to facilitate meaningful encounters for its visitors.
Glenstone was looking for a Director of Visitor Services to lead all visitor facing operations to ensure a seamless visitor experience.
Society assisted Glenstone in the nationwide search, focused on individuals in the museum and luxury hospitality space. Danielle Newton has over 15 years of experience in the museum space. She started at the Miami Children’s Museum and most recently she served as the Vice President of Visitor Services at The National September 11 Memorial & Museum.
