Kinsfolk & Co appoints General Manager for The Newman, London

Oliver Milne-Watson has been appointed as General Manager of The Newman, overseeing one of 2024’s most anticipated openings and the first hotel from new international hospitality management company Kinsfolk & Co.

Launched in May 2023, Kinsfolk & Co is a dynamic organisation, led by some of the best talent from across the industry and founded with a mission to deliver enhanced performance, with triple-bottom-line priorities at its heart. Kinsfolk & Co. are building a managed portfolio of hospitality businesses. The company has confidential advisory projects underway in the UK and overseas and will be launching two luxury boutique hotels in central London.

The first, The Newman, will open in Fitzrovia in late 2024. Fitting effortlessly into the creative village of Fitzrovia in central London, the contemporary hotel with 81 rooms, suites and apartments, European brasserie, cocktail bar, and wellness floor, is set to be an instant new destination for the neighbourhood.

Oliver Milne-Watson brings over 15 years of hospitality experience since beginning his career at The Goring and The Royal Garden Hotel. Honing his skills across London’s luxury hotels, Oliver then moved to The Beaumont where he worked his way up through various senior roles. Since 2020, Oliver held a Director of Operations role at Penshee Ltd, working with companies across multiple industries in understanding the emotional intelligence behind luxury service.  Oliver additionally gained the expertise for what makes a hotel excel through a recent consultancy role with Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) where he conducted mystery quality assurance audits of luxury hotels across global brands.
