Claire Reindorp joins Young Women’s Trust as their new CEO

Claire Reindorp has been appointed as CEO of Young Women’s Trust.

Young Women’s Trust is a feminist organisation working to achieve economic justice for young women. Covid-19 has had an enormous impact on young women, and existing systemic inequalities have been made worse by the lockdown. Young Women’s Trust takes a holistic approach to addressing the inequity young women face, and endeavours to tackle the issues at both personal and systemic levels.

Society conducted a national search across a range of sectors, with a focus on the not-for-profit and wider public sector. We sought out candidates with strategic, organisational leadership experience, an appreciation of issues affecting women and the hardest to reach in society, and with demonstrable understanding of charity governance and operations through their professional or non-executive experience.

Claire Reindorp was previously Head of Region at Peabody, where she has worked in various senior roles since 2008. Prior to that, she worked at the Refugee Council and Crime Concern.

Claire commented on her experience: "As a candidate I found the Society team played an exemplary role in the recruitment process. They provided detailed briefings, asked thoughtful questions and gave me useful feedback at each stage, acting with warmth and professional throughout."
