CEO of UK Youth to lead Step Up To Serve campaign

Charlotte Hill, the current Chief Executive of UK Youth, has been announced as Chief Executive for Step Up To Serve, a new cross-sector, cross-party initiative created to get more young people taking part in social action.

As Chief Executive of UK Youth (and previously as their Advocacy and Communications Manager), Charlotte helped the charity reposition its business model and create several exciting new relationships with a range of corporate partners. She previously worked as a Parliamentary Adviser for the NSPCC and spent the early part of her career as a Casework Manager for the Rt. Hon Harriet Harman QC MP.

When she takes up post in April 2014, Charlotte will work alongside a lean management team and Executive Steering Group of cross sector leaders to set the forward priorities for the Step Up To Serve campaign. She says:

“Our task now is to turn all the support and good will into action and results for young people and the wider community. Young people are a fantastic resource for this country and have so much to contribute. My goal will be to get the active involvement of people across all sectors so that we can get millions more young people making social action a habit for life. I simply can’t wait to get started.”
