This was a very interesting and highly specialised search to carry out. Our client asked us not only to identify established Security professionals within New York’s Luxury 5* hotel market, but also to explore more creative avenues. Drawing upon what is a very close-knit network of typically ex law-enforcement professionals, we were able to produce a shortlist of current Directors of Security, ex Secret Servicemen, senior Police Chiefs, and highly regarded Security & Risk Management consultants.
Where some candidates had led the personal security strategy of Presidents and Heads of State, others had decades of experience in establishing and developing the necessary protocols to secure prominent landmark buildings within the Greater New York City area. By leveraging the intensely industry-specific expertise from sector professionals – not least a former Deputy Director of the US Secret Service – we were able to immerse ourselves into this small but well-connected group of highly skilled professionals, the vast majority of which boast long and successful careers in law enforcement at local, state, and federal levels.
