Jose Moscoso has been appointed as Room Service Manager at The Carlyle, A Rosewood Hotel.
The Carlyle is an emblem of New York glamour and luxury. Built in 1930, it has been the “home away from home” for world leaders, celebrities and sophisticated travellers. Every American president since Truman has visited, and its rich history includes visiting Royals and heads-of-state — HRH, The Prince of Wales; the late Diana, Princess of Wales; The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, their Majesties, the Kings and Queens of Denmark, Greece, Spain and Sweden
The hotel features 191 rooms and suites with stunning views of Central Park and New York. Defined by the luxury of convenience, room service is available 24 hours-per-day. The Room Service Manager will have responsibility for room service, mini-bar and cashier, ensuring that the high standards of the hotel are always upheld.
Society searched extensively throughout the USA, speaking to people with strong backgrounds in luxury food and beverage. Jose impressed The Carlyle with his deep understanding of luxury room service and his passion for joining the world-renowned hotel.
After a career with Hyatt Hotels, first with Grand Hyatt New York and then with Hyatt Regency Dallas, Jose joined as Food and Beverage Manager at The Surrey, a luxury boutique hotel on the Upper East Side. In this role, he oversaw in-room dining, mini bar, catering/banquets, as well as the seasonal roof-top bar.
