Joanne Lee, the current Director of Buying for Beauty at House of Fraser, has been appointed as the new Director of Buying for Health and Beauty at QVC. This follows an extensive search by Society.

Joanne first started at House of Fraser in 1983. She left the business for a period in 1989 to run the Duty and Tax Free retail outlets of BAA Gatwick Airport, before returning in 1992. Over the following eight years she managed stores in Cardiff, Bath and Reading. She subsequently progressed through a series of senior management and development roles. In her current position, she oversees all buying across the beauty category for the chain's 60 stores, including its four flagship operations and its ecommerce operation.

Joanne joins QVC at the end of May.

QVC is the UK leader in multi-channel retail and one of the top five TV shopping channels in the world.. Since launching in 1993, the business has seen remarkable year-on-year growth. They have also branched out from their core TV heartland into online and interactive offerings.
