London Business School hires a new Development Manager

London Business School has appointed Nicholas Spindler to join their vibrant Development team. Nicholas joins from Save the Children and will be responsible for proactively managing new and existing major donor relationships on behalf of this world-leading institution.

Nicholas began his career in the private sector, including four years as a Commercial Relationship Manager for BNY Mellon, where he successfully managed a large portfolio of clients. A combination of the desire to work for a mission-driven organisation and recognition of his transferable skills led him to turn his career to major gifts fundraising in 2014, when he joined Save the Children’s philanthropy team. Nicholas has since demonstrated strengths in long-term relationship building, strategic thinking and helping donors feel close to a cause. These skills are a huge asset to London Business School as they approach the close of their first ever comprehensive campaign. Having now exceeded their target, the £100m Campaign has proved to be hugely inspiring and Nicholas will play a key role in building upon this success by contributing to the institution’s long-term fundraising strategy going forward as a member of the Major Gifts team.

To arrive at Nicholas’ appointment, we conducted a broad search across the Higher Education, Arts and Cultural, and Not-for-Profit fundraising sectors, looking for individuals with expertise in relationship building in the private sector.
