Re-wrap hires Monica Jandrisits as their first CEO
Monica Jandrisits has been appointed as the first CEO of re-wrap.
re-wrap (www.re-wrap.com) is a social enterprise based in the UK which produces organic cotton products for businesses such as Lush, Foyles and Harvey Nichols. They work closely with women artisans and farmers in India in order to enhance their livelihood and promote ethical, sustainable production.
Society conducted an extensive search across the fashion, textile and apparel sectors, particularly focusing on organisations with a sustainable, ethical dimensions and/or those with supply chains in India or other developing countries. We sought out candidates with sales and marketing backgrounds, who could bring a strong commerciality and growth mindset to this role while also demonstrating an alignment with re-wrap’s values and mission. We also looked for people with strong experience in retail, especially with product lines involving textiles, and prioritising experience working with Asia and India specifically.
The appointed candidate, Monica Jandrisits, was previously Commercial Director at Global Brands Group. Prior to that, she held a number of positions at Itochu Group. She began her career in Canada, where she ran her own knitwear brand for five and a half years.
