Bore Place hires new Education and Community Director
Abbi Caliandro has been appointed at Education and Community Director at Bore Place.
Bore Place is a historic estate in Kent and a charity which is committed to regenerative agriculture, sustainable initiatives, and educational and community work aimed at bringing people, particularly young people, closer to nature. The Education and Community Director a brand new role which will work closely with the Chief Executive to develop and deliver their programmes and drive their refreshed strategic plan.
Society conducted a broad, national search across the not-for-profit, environmental, education and local government sectors, seeking out candidates with programmatic and project management experience who had operated at a strategic level. We prioritised those who had worked with young people and in education, particularly at the intersection with nature, sustainability, and outdoor learning.
Abbi Caliandro was previously Group Head of Faculty at Hadlow College in Kent, where she oversaw a department of over 600 learners across a range of land-based and general curriculum areas. She has been working at Hadlow College in a range of roles for the last twelve years.
Abbi commented,
