New Asset and Development Manager appointed at B&Q

Donna Turner has joined B&Q as Asset and Development Manager for their property portfolio. She took up post with B&Q in May this year, following a search by Society.  Donna will focus on the exciting new format development delivery for the business, which is attracting so much press at time of writing.  She joins from H&M, where she was previously Head of Leasing.  Prior to that she led the big box format team at ASDA.

Donna had this to say on her appointment.

"The opportunity to work with not only the UK's leading DIY retailer, but also within a FTSE 100 company, was a huge draw for me.  Having worked for retailers for half of my professional career, I had long admired B&Q in the UK for their core values, leadership and personnel.
The DIY sector in the UK in transforming and I am thrilled to be at the forefront of it, responsible for identifying new opportunities to grow our business as well as future proofing our existing Estate. I report directly into the Board and key internal stakeholders, as well as face externally to the UK property market - crucially maintaining my long standing relationships with Landlords and Developers. The team I work alongside are motivated and engaged and have helped me immensely settling in to my new role.
